Summary: The nucleus is in eukaryotic cells. It's a membrane bound organelle. The DNA in the nucleus is in charge of its unique characteristics. The main structure in the nucleus is the nucleolus. The nucleolus produces ribosomes and positions on the rough ER where they synthasize.

Questions:

  1. What is the major function of this cell's organelle? stores, organizes, transports, and produces, basically the control center of a cell
  2. Which cell types have this organelle? animal and plant
  3. List three things you learned from this article in your own words. The nucleus is very important in a cell. It contains a nucleolus. The nucleolus produces ribosomes on the rough ER.
  4. What impact would the absence of this organelle have on the cell? Things in a cell would go wrong.
