New Insight Into HIV Infection

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/05/070504131255.htm

Summary:When HIV infects the cell it carries its DNA into the nucleus of the cell then the viral DNA mixes with the cell's DNA. Also the combined DNA makes proteins that make new viruses.A scientist studied how various cellular proteins help the virus enter the infected cell's nucleus. The study also showed that by silencing genes that produce one of these proteins,HIV was three time sless infectious than when the protein was present.
Cell Organelles

What is the major function of this cell's organelle? To carry the DNA of the cell and instructions of the cell

Which cell types have this organelle?Eukaryote cells

List three things you learned from this article in your own words. I learned that HIV spreads by making proteins that infects the cell.

What impact would the absence of this organelle have on the cell? The cell would not function or have codes for the DNA structure.
