Summary: DNA have recently been hidden leaving scientist with no way to find out more information about a certain disease. Now, however, a program has been designed to help scientist defeat the hidden DNA. The program teaches itself how to recognize the DNA patterns in silenced genes. As mammals, we have two copies of genes; one from the mother and the other from the father. When one of the genes are occasiopnally silenced it is recessive and can lead to diseases. The invention of this new DNA program is a helpful tool for scientist to help the human nature.
Questions: DNA/RNA
What are the major functions of nucleic acids in the cell? Transfers information from the nucleus
What are the differences in RNA and DNA?DNA- Deoxyribonucleic Acid=DNA; transfer information in general. RNA=Ribonucleic Acid; RNA transfers any information in DNA.
List three things you learned from this article in your own words.
1. Scientist have found a new program to further their knowledge of the impact of DNA on human diseases.
2.Some genes can be hidden or recessive
3.The recessivness of a gene may lead to diseases
What impact would the absence of this organelle have on the cell? Essential information would not get into the brain and the body would not function correctly.
